During the summer of 2015 I started experiencing pain in the front of my hip. It was so intense that I actually had dreams when I slept, that my hip was fractured. After months of physical therapy to strengthen my hip, an MRI showed that I had an impingement and labral tear in my left hip.

HSS was of course the only place I would consider after my husband had very successful ACL surgery with Dr. Frank Cardasco. I was so fortunate to have found Dr. Danyal Nawabi. While typically arthroscopic hip surgery patients are not in their mid-fifties, Dr. Nawabi indicated that I was a good candidate since I didn't have arthritis and was physically fit.

The surgery and rehabilitation went very smoothly. I am so lucky to have had Dr. Nawabi as my surgeon. He is extremely knowledgeable, responsive, kind and caring - I'm not sure what more you could ask for. I followed his rehabilitation regime to the tee, and have had fantastic results because of it.

I also embarked on the physical therapy game plan very seriously, initially at HSS, and then I worked extensively with Jeremy Crow. Jeremy is truly the master of hip physical therapy, rehabilitation and strengthening.

So my many thanks to both of them, for getting me into the best shape I have ever been in my young 57 years!!
