“IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING"

After recovering from a full-thickness medial meniscus tear to my right knee back in 2012, I was committed to maintaining an active lifestyle, especially when working as a pediatric occupational therapist at HSS, where excellence is second to none. I knew just how important it was to seek the appropriate professional advice, both medically and from a rehabilitative standpoint. Not only was the surgery necessary for my job duties and capacities working with children, but to compete in activities that I enjoyed such as swimming, biking, and running.

Due to the OUTSTANDING care I received at HSS from Dr. Thomas Wickiewicz and the rehabilitation team, 6 months later I completed my first sprint triathlon, and then a few years later, conquered the NYC TRI, an Olympic race, 2 years in a row! The successful surgery and rehabilitation recovery, even years later, helped me achieve my personal goal of Triathloner!
