Because of a torn meniscus, walking became a very painful effort. Almost immediately after Dr. DiFelice operated I was able to walk with less pain. A short time later the only pain I experienced related to the swelling occasioned by the procedure. As one who is 75 years old, I assume I was not expected to recover rapidly from the procedure; still, it's been almost seven weeks since the procedure and I am pain-free.

From the time I arrived at HSS for the procedure until I left later that day I was treated with the utmost care and consideration by everyone in the OR.
