On December 8, 2013 I was admitted to HSS for hip replacement surgery by Dr. Michael Alexiades. I was already impressed with the facility after attending the pre-op classes a few weeks prior. HSS staff were all extremely helpful and informative, so when I arrived for surgery at the crack of dawn I knew what to expect. From the moment I dressed for surgery to waking up in recovery, the staff was fantastic. They made me feel comfortable and just as importantly, kept my parents comfortable and well informed. Dr. Alexiades is the best! Everything went great and I only needed to spend one night! The physical therapists on staff are wonderful. They make sure you are fully capable of moving out of the bed to a walker, then to a cane and then out the door home! Its been 9 months now and I'm exercising regularly and feeling great. I cannot say enough about HSS, Dr. Alexiades and the staff!
