The arthritis on my left hip progressed at an alarming rate that I could hardly walk. I was in pain, tried the pain medication, and joint injection. All of these did not work for me. I was in shock when the orthopedic in Texas told me I need the hip replacement. I never thought that I will need one. My sister did the research for me in New York. She found Hospital for Special Surgery and Dr. Boettner who accepted my insurance. Dr. Boettner was friendly and treated me with good care. He took time to answer all the questions on my list to my satisfaction. He explained the surgery procedure in detail that I would have. The first day I saw him, he gave me a good impression and trust. I was certain that I was in good hands. And it was, within 3 months after the surgery, I didn’t feel that I have the prosthetic hip.

Hospital for Special Surgery is a great hospital, everyone was so nice and took great care of me while I stayed there. It is very well organized from pre-operation to discharge. Hospital plays a major role as well as the surgeon for your surgery decision making. I’m glad I had chosen HSS. I am happy with my BIONIC hip. I do biking, walking, and Tai-Chi exercise with my new hip and no pain! Thank you Doctor Boettner, his PA and his entire office staff for taking good care of me. I’m lucky to find you and have my normal life back. I HIGHLY recommend him!!!
