Shane was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma at the age of two. The elbow and a section of the upper arm plus muscles were removed to ensure the tumor was extracted. When Shane was 9. Dr. Athanasian referred Shane to Dr. Rozbruch to re-grow a Humerus bone (which had been surgically removed) to provide a live bone versus a donor bone. Shane is now able to participate with many activities without fear of shattering a donor bone.
