Before my hip replacement by Dr. Della Valle, I was literally walking tilted with a pronounced limp--not some thing one should do when teaching nursery school! I was always getting concerned comments and was in deep pain--I knew it was time to correct the situation and live "normally" again. I coincided my surgery with retirement and have to say I am so happy with both. I now have pain-free flexibility and movement--to get in and out of a car, play with my granddaughter, sit in a movie theater and so on. Post surgery was not always a "breeze", but it was worth the work and effort to get back to walking "upright" and not having to sit down every few steps. I thank all involved at HSS for my new life!
