I am a 61-year-old woman who has always been active, but I struggled with severe hip pain for many years. After an unsuccessful gluteal tendon repair surgery near my home in Tennessee, I was left in constant pain and searching for answers.

My son-in-law, a spine surgeon in Texas, searched nationwide for a specialist who could help me. The name of Dr. Anil Ranawat at HSS came up again and again. When no other surgeon was willing to take on repairing my severely torn gluteal tendon, I traveled to New York to meet with Dr. Ranawat. He carefully evaluated my condition and promptly scheduled my surgery.
