My hip pain began with a slow ache and escalated into excruciating pain in a very short time. I was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Mayman at the Hospital for Special Surgery, where he reviewed my x-rays and my history. His examination was thorough and explained that I was a candidate for hip replacement surgery. Now, 8 weeks after the surgery I am so amazed at my mobility and lack of pain. I have had physical therapy and am at the point of riding a stationary bike for 10 minutes and using the elliptical machine too. I am in no pain and have been able to resume normal life activities. I cannot stress how wonderful Dr. Mayman and his staff were to me throughout my ordeal. The professionalism and care from beginning to end were exceptional. I would highly recommend Dr. Mayman and the Hospital for Special Surgery and the entire staff for their exceptional care in every respect. Thank you for helping me resume my life again with NO pain. It is a miracle and I cannot express to you how grateful I am for your care from the first appointment until the final follow-up appointment.
