Knee Pain Causes, Conditions and Treatments

I had struggled with chronic knee pain for many years, limiting my activity as time passed. It came to a point where I required weekly knee drainage procedures and was nearly unable to work. In the final year of my 7 year training towards becoming an interventional cardiologist, I was confronted with the prospect of a knee replacement, not an optimal choice at age 33. I was placed on a waiting list for a donor meniscus and the call came on Christmas Eve. The team at HSS were amazing and I am pleased to say that I am now six months into my first real job and doing my best to put the knee to good use helping me treat my own patients.
