I was very hesitant about having my hip replaced until a friend told me about HSS, and it was the best decision I have ever made. They did all the pre-op testing at the hospital and everyone was so kind. On May 8, 2014 I had the surgery done by Dr. Salvati. The anesthesiologist explained everything to me and alleviated my tension and concerns. In the recovery room the nurses were attentive and caring. I spent 4 days in a bed overlooking the east river and the nurses were so kind. The discharge went smoothly and the staff listened to all my wishes for a suitable rehab facility. I am recovered completely and walking without any pain. It is worth the long drive to go to NYC for this operation. Thank you HSS!
