VOICES Medicaid Education Program
VOICES Medicaid Education Program provides support, education and advocacy for patients and community members seeking, or wanting to maintain access to care at the HSS Ambulatory Care Center (ACC). We help individuals navigate their Medicaid and Medicare/Medicaid plan coverage, as well as those enrolled in other public insurance programs.
Here are some of the ways our program can help you navigate the complex Medicaid system, in order to obtain or maintain access to orthopedic and rheumatologic specialty care:
- Select a Medicaid Managed Care plan.
- Understand your Medicaid coverage and your options under Medicaid Managed Care, including information on how to obtain an out-of-network authorization if you have a Medicaid Managed Care plan HSS does not participate with.
- Answer questions related to transitioning from Medicaid to Medicare coverage
- Provide information related to other public insurance programs available through New York State of Health Marketplace.
- Refer you to other related resource
