Three Keys To Finding Long-Term Success As A Young Athlete

Paramus Daily Voice featured a bylined article by HSS sports dietitian and sports performance specialist Jason Machowsky RD, CSSD, RCEP, CSCS, who addressed how young athletes can stay healthy and avoid injuries.

"Key components include cardiovascular endurance, strength, dynamic alignment, body composition and mobility. Limitations in these foundational capabilities can lead to decreased power, agility and performance, along with the potential increased risk of injury," Machowsky wrote.

Additionally, he stressed the importance of regularly eating protein, vegetables and fruits.
