ESPN Radio interviewed HSS sports medicine surgeon Joshua S. Dines, MD, live on-air to discuss sports injuries across all levels.
Dr. Dines explained that treating patients at HSS provides him an advantage to staying on top of the latest sports medicine research. "I think by being [at HSS] you’re around the latest in research, people who are doing things in a very current way, people who are teaching the rest of the world. So by being there and contributing, you stay ahead of the curve and you become the people who are teaching others," he said.
When asked how to prevent injuries in all sports, Dr. Dines recommended gradually building up to participating in a sport and dedicating time to stretching.
