As a result of a lifetime of intensive combat sports (ranging from wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ), Aikido and Muay Thai) the discs in my neck have basically ground to nothing.
I was injured sparring in BJJ in December 2021 and was in intense pain. Based in Tokyo at the time, I flew back to NYC consulting with Drs. Farmer and Yoon.
Dr. Yoon performed intervention CAT scan epidural steroid shots, which reduced the pain and inflammation.
As a result of the successful procedure thanks to Drs. Yoon and Farmer, I have been able to return to my previously high level of intensity - recently spending 3 weeks at an MMA facility in Thailand training 4 hours a day without issue (at the age of 59).
