I am an active 70 year old that is still employed and loves walking. It’s 1 month and 6 days since my right knee replacement surgery and I can honestly say that my knee is no longer the first thing I think about each time I move! Wow, I didn't think I would be able to say that!

Dr. Mayman and his team of nurses and doctors at HSS did a phenomenal job of relieving the pain that gel injections and other therapies no longer worked for. It was going on 5 years and I was now bone-on-bone in both knees.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Mayman except he is an absolute genius and I can’t wait to have my other knee done. This kind doctor also did my hip, perfectly, almost 3 years ago. You are The Best!

He and his staff are kind and gracious and are available to answer any questions within minutes, and yes, you will have questions. The pain can be intense the first 2 weeks, but there was always a response in minutes. His amazing NP, Krissa Cetner, was always available to help with pain management. I just had to reach out on the portal - she was a lifesaver.

One extremely important part of getting you moving again is rehabilitation, and HSS offers the very best. I can’t say enough about Brian Jones and Joseph Malizia. They are experts in getting you back to moving and feeling confident that you are going to be even better than before.

I feel privileged to know the kind and gracious nurses and doctors at HSS who are nothing short of miracle workers. They stand behind their reputation as the number one hospital for orthopedics in the nation.
