I was involved in a traumatic car accident where I was a pedestrian on the side of the highway talking to the tow truck driver. A car came and hit me at 70 miles an hour. I was in Florida and they airlifted me to a local facility where my condition was worsening. My family decided to send me to Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City where Dr. Helfet saved my life.
