Stephanie Carvino

My name is Stephanie Carvino, I am 31 years old. I have been a patient at HSS and Dr. Leon Root since I was three. I have Cerebral Palsy, Spastic diplegia and I have had over sixteen orthopedic surgeries under the care of Dr. Root. Dr. Root did not just get me back in the game, but got me back in the game of life. Without Dr. Root, I would not be walking, and I definitely would not be where I am today. I will be forever grateful and full of gratitude for all that Dr. Root has done me. I consider Dr. Root and his amazing staff family after all these years. I have since had several surgeries at HSS since Dr. Root no longer performs surgery. I would never go to another orthopedic hospital, and while these recent surgeries have went well, there will never be another Dr. Root. Lastly a huge thank you to Norma, who is part of Dr. Root's office staff for all she has done for me over the years.
