I had scoliosis my whole life. I am 12, and I was so embarrassed for anyone to know. I hid it with my clothes and didn't talk to anyone about it. When I met Dr. Sama, he said my scoliosis was now 68 degrees and I needed to have surgery right away. I wasn't prepared to hear that and I couldn't stop crying. Dr. Sama was so nice to me and kept asking me what my concerns were. He explained everything to me until I felt comfortable and understood what he was explaining to me. He spoke to me and was so kind to me and he kept talking to me until I stopped crying. Dr. Sama made me feel so much better and not so scared. He saw me right before surgery and even made me smile. When I woke up from surgery I thought this isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Dr. Sama saw me everyday, the nurses at the hospital were so kind too. I had my surgery July 25 2013, and I went back to school in just 6 weeks and I feel really great. No more back pain and Dr. Sama even did a great job on scar! I can now wear any clothes I want without feeling self conscious. I love Dr. Sama and even look forward to seeing him for my follow up visits. I think everyone should go to Dr. Sama so they can feel wonderful too!!
