I can’t remember when basketball wasn’t my life. From high school in New Jersey as an All-American to UConn where I was part of the 2004 NCAA National Championship team, there hasn't been a time when basketball wasn’t my #1 priority. After my sophomore season with the Huskies, I decided to enter the 2005 NBA Draft to test my skills at the highest level. It’s devastating to not be able to perform at your best level because of injury, especially under the microscope of sports media. That’s why in 2007, while I was playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, I went to Dr. David Altchek at HSS to perform arthroscopic surgery to repair my labrum. After my surgery, I spent nine more successful seasons in the NBA and am currently enjoying my retirement.
