In March 2023, I tore my pec bench pressing. I knew immediately that I would need a surgical repair if I was ever to bench press competitively again. After doing my research, I reached out to Dr. Cordasco's office. I was extremely pleased with the competence of his staff and was pleasantly surprised to have a consult and surgery scheduled with Dr. Cordasco within a few weeks of my injury. Dr. Cordasco and all of the staff that I encountered at HSS were extremely competent, courteous, and caring.

After several months of healing and PT, I slowly starting ramping up my lifting. Once I was six months post-surgery, I received the "all clear" from Dr. Cordasco and increased the intensity of my workouts. My rate of recovery was so surprising that I decided to compete at a powerlifting competition in Feb. 2024, less than 10 months post-surgery!

At the competition, I bench pressed 360 lbs. and broke the world record in my federation, age, and weight class by 40 lbs.! Next, I deadlifted 450 lbs. and broke the state record in my federation, age, and weight class by 45 lbs.!

My comeback after surgery has been nothing short of miraculous and I am so grateful to Dr. Cordasco and the staff at HSS.
