As a professional dancer, having my body in optimal condition is key to getting the job done. One day in rehearsal for the Broadway National Tour of White Christmas, I misjudged my hand placement in a dance turn and ended up fracturing my 5th metacarpal (I essentially karate chopped my own hand!). Dr. Weiland was efficient and excellent in assessing my broken hand, and concluding that surgery was not needed. Immediately following his examination, Dr. Weiland sent me to the hand therapists on the second floor, and a custom splint was made for me in less than 30 minutes. I was back to rehearsal for White Christmas and was able to complete my role as dancer on the tour. Thank you Dr. Weiland and thank you HSS for your comprehensive and total in-house, one day of care!
