About Kelyssa Hall
Kelyssa Hall is an Exercise Physiologist on the Sports Rehabilitation and Performance Team at HSS. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. Kelyssa is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist through The Back School, and BoneFit trained. In addition, she maintains certifications and credentials with multiple other organizations including Precision Nutrition, and Functional Movement Screening.
Kelyssa has been in the fitness and rehabilitation field for over 32 years and counting. She has worked in a variety of settings providing quality care with both personal training, lifestyle medicine, and aquatic exercise; and she contributes to ongoing research and education at HSS. Her extensive background working with the older population and people with complex health issues has made her a go to resource for both her clients as well as other professionals in the field. She is also the creator and leader of the ongoing Building Better Bones - Fight the Fracture virtual group class about bone health. Kelyssa has a passion and drive for helping people get back to and keep doing the activities that they love to do. She strives to empower people to live their best life by working with them to integrate physical activity and healthy habits into their daily routines while focusing on functional movement, balance, strength, and endurance.
