Knee Revision (Revision Total Knee Replacement)
My original knee replacement became loose and started causing problems. When I needed help, my GP recommended HSS. I met with Dr. Cynthia Kahlenberg and she recommended a total knee revision. My experience was very patient-centric. Great care was taken to explain the procedure, and every step of the way, from Dr. Kahlenberg to the nursing staff to the head of food services in the hospital, I was made to feel like I was the very center of everyone's attention.
My recovery was quick and on target. But depending on my other knee during recovery caused a very painful exacerbation of my osteoarthritis and it was decided to replace that knee as well. I am happy to say that 3 months later, I'm hiking (albeit easy trails) in the Adirondacks! All thanks to the marvelous care of Dr. Kahlenberg, her staff, Rhonda and Erika, and HSS.
