A bad fall while skiing tore my ACL and MCL in my left knee. After consulting an orthopedic surgeon, we agreed on the standard course of treatment - wait 6 weeks for the MCL to heal on its own, followed by ACL surgery, and then PT. A friend heard about my injury and insisted I see Dr. DiFelice to see if I was a good candidate for ACL repair surgery. Since I also tore my MCL, I was unable to stand/put any weight on my left leg and had limited mobility (I was basically bedridden). Choosing between both options, it was obvious which one I chose.

Dr. DiFelice repaired both the ACL and MCL and with PT, I was walking without any assistance by the time my original ACL surgery was scheduled! Having Dr. DiFelice repair both the MCL and ACL sped up my recovery time dramatically. I can’t even imagine how difficult the first route would have been for me and am so thankful Dr. DiFelice was able to repair my ACL (and MCL).
