We came to Dr. Onel after 5 1/2 years of visiting doctors and trying every treatment that you can think of for our son Jack's recurring, severe ankle and foot pain. Jack was 11-years-old at the time and was in pain while walking and even while lying in bed. He had difficulty with stairs at school and could not run. Dr. Onel reviewed all of our information and spoke with Jack as she examined him. Our son related to Dr. Onel immediately. Dr. Onel talked with us about chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO), a rare inflammatory bone condition. After further tests, Dr. Onel confirmed the diagnosis. After seeing many doctors over many years, Dr. Onel was the only doctor who correctly diagnosed the problem. After Jack began treatment, he was finally able to walk, run and jump without pain! We have attached pictures of Jack surfing for the first time only one month after he began treatment. He could only dream of surfing a few months prior.
