I was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) which means I have more brittle bones than other kids. I am 12 years old, and I have had 10 surgeries at HSS - I am a surgery pro! I love my doctors. They are awesome people and are so compassionate towards the kids in the hospital. I now have rods in my legs so they don't break as much. I love to do art, hang out with my friends at school and go to sleepaway camp. Being able to hang out with the Child Life staff and volunteers during my visits makes them easier - they help me with my crafts and they make me happy. Being here has given me confidence, and I'm not shy because I've made so many friends at HSS.
