I've had severe knee pain and restricted activity for several years. I've tried knee injections and physical therapy, but those were only temporary fixes to a more serious problem. Upon reading the many positive reviews and hearing recommendations from friends for Dr. Della Valle, I decided to make my appointment with him, to figure out what the best course of action would be. We agreed that a total knee replacement surgery was needed on both of my knees. On September 22, 2016, I got TKR surgery on my left knee. After a few months of recovery and after Dr. Della Valle told me I was doing exceptionally well, I got my right TKR surgery on February 3, 2017. Currently, I'm still in the recovery period for my right knee; but thanks to Dr. Della Valle and the wonderful surgical, PT, and nursing team, I am already able to walk much better than just a year ago. I look forward to a better, more active life, thanks to HSS!
