Philip Danaher

In August of 2003, I received an opportunity to come back to the sport that had allowed me to travel the world and represent the USA. Dr. Russell Warren performed a shoulder replacement when I was 42 years old. Having been playing international field hockey for many years, my left shoulder was close to useless. Dr. Warren gave me a chance to compete again at the Master's level through this surgery. In the last 14 years following my replacement, I have been a part of 4 USA Master's World Cup Teams. Every competition is a dream come true because of the entire surgical team, and every person working at HSS. I have been to many hospitals both in the USA and abroad, due to my competitions, but nothing compares to this wonderful facility. I always tell people how outstanding the care at HSS is and well worth the distance to drive for the best care anywhere. In 2012, as seen in a photo I have provided, HSS (Dr. Warren) was the sponsor of the USA uniforms from that World Cup.
