Cycling is my favorite hobby. When Dr. Haas told me I needed a knee replacement, one of the questions I asked was would I be able to continue long distance bike riding. For the past 9 years, I participated in a 9/11 memorial bike ride. This year we were riding from The Pentagon to Ground Zero and I was hoping I'd be back in the game to ride for my 10th year. Dr. Haas assured me it wouldn't be an issue. Sure enough Dr. Haas was right! I was amazed that only 6 months to the day prior the start of the ride, I was still in the hospital.
Throughout the 3 1/2 day ride my new knee was stronger then ever! Besides biking, I am back to all the activities I love... walking, hiking, riding the ocean waves, walking on the beach, and the list goes on! Many thanks to my surgeon Dr. Haas and my anesthesiologist Dr. Green!
