Keith Toto

My name is Keith Toto from Nanuet, New York. Before coming to HSS, I went to 3 hospitals in the span of 2 years. I had a lot of pain in my right knee as the result of a broken kneecap. The 3 hospitals told me that my knee was fine and there was nothing wrong and told me to until I retired, but I knew that something wrong. So one day I spoke to my sister-in-law, who told me go to Hospital for Special Surgery, so I looked for a knee replacement doctor. First, I went to see Dr. Gregory DiFelice, who examined my right knee and referred me to Dr. Anil Ranawat. Dr. Ranawat examined my right kneecap and as a result of it being outside of my knee, he referred me to his brother, Amar. Dr. Amar Ranawat performed surgery on 2/24/15 and did a wonderful job. Thanks to him, I can lift up to 150 pounds while working for UPS.

Since 2010, I had pain in my left shoulder and in late 2015, Dr. Anil Ranawat referred me to Dr. David Wang. Dr. Wang examined my shoulder and asked Dr. Answorth Allen for a final exam. Upon Dr. Allen's findings, I was transferred to Dr. Amar Ranawat, who operated on my left shoulder in February 2016.

Lastly, when it came time to operate on my left knee, I went back to Dr. Amar Ranawat for surgery to repair major damage sustained from an accident. Dr. Mary Kollakuzhiyil did a wonderful job detailing my history as well as information on what was going on with my body.
