Amy Skinner, PA-C, MS

Amy Skinner, PA-C is a clinician at HSS Ortho Injury Care, which offers same or next day evaluations for sprains, strains and possible fractures. 
 
Amy attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Music & the Performing Arts in 2001 and trained at Ailey School. In both schools, she studied classical ballet, the Graham Technique and theatre dance. Amy also studied tap and hip hop at Broadway Dance Center.

Amy's relationship with HSS began while working as a physical therapy aide for four years in an office affiliated with the HSS Rehabilitation Network. She attended Long Island University, graduating with honors in 2007 with a BS/MS in Sports Science/Athletic Training. She later graduated from Mercy College with a BS/MS in Health Science/Physician Assistant Studies in 2011. Shortly after graduating, she volunteered at the HSS Special Procedures Unit and began working in the Ortho Injury Care in 2022.

After volunteering in the Day of Dance Wellness, Amy joined the HSS Performing Arts Collaborative and recently wrote an article entitled Breakdancing & Common, inspired by her love for dance.
