The HSS West Side ASC provides financial aid for medically necessary services based on a patient’s financial need and includes a sliding scale discount for patients who qualify. Aid may be available for patients who do not have insurance and for those who are underinsured. We may be able to work with you to arrange a manageable payment plan.
Our financial assistance policy applies to services provided by the HSS West Side ASC, and some services provided by certain HSS West Side ASC physicians and other clinical staff of the HSS West Side ASC.
We use poverty guidelines issued by the US Department of Health and Human Services to determine a patient's eligibility for financial assistance. The amount of the discount varies based on your income and the size of your family. The income limits, based on seven times the 2024 Federal Poverty Guidelines (the “FPL”), are below:

Please note that if you are currently approved for Financial Assistance by HSS, the HSS West Side ASC will apply the same determination to HSS West Side ASC patients.
