For the 2021-2022 academic year, HSS will be recruiting radiology fellows through the Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship Match. We will begin accepting applications October 1, 2019.

Goals of Fellowship

The Department of Radiology and Imaging at HSS offers a dedicated fellowship in musculoskeletal ultrasound. This fellowship represents the continued commitment of HSS to train radiologists in the diagnostic and interventional aspects of musculoskeletal ultrasound.

The goal of the fellowship is to provide highly motivated radiologists with the clinical knowledge and research skills necessary for a successful academic clinical career in this field. The HSS Ultrasound Fellowship is designed to provide the participant with an ongoing, in-depth experience in clinical musculoskeletal ultrasound and research.

Curriculum and Expectations

This fellowship will have exposure to both clinical and basic science research mentors, with a heavy emphasis on research. We encourage collaborative projects with the other imaging divisions of the Department, as well as translational research projects with other departments, with an ultimate goal of establishing projects that are grant-funded. Performance of at least one research project is required, with a presentation at the end of the fellowship and submission of an abstract to a national radiology, orthopaedics or rheumatology meeting for presentation and/or publication.
