About Brittany Popkin

Brittany Popkin graduated with her Bachelors of Science from Stony Brook University in May 2009 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University in NYC in May 2012. Since then, she has developed a love for treating the nonarthritic hip and sports related injuries. In 2016, Brittany obtained her Sports Clinical Specialist certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties to further develop her skills and knowledge in the athletic population. Brittany can see patients coming in as direct access (without a physician referral) and enjoys treating athletes of all levels ranging from recreational to professional.

Brittany has been a presenter at the New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA) annual chapter conference, HSS rehab grand rounds and has had other opportunities throughout her career, both formal and informal, to present, help educate and collaborate with physical therapists of all levels of experience about the nonarthritic hip.

Brittany is a retired Irish step dancer and competed regionally, nationally and internationally during her 13-year career. Since retiring, Brittany still likes to stay active herself by working out and has used this background and life lessons learned during her dance career to help her during her professional career.
