Aaron Karp is a performance specialist with the HSS Tisch Sports Performance Center in Manhattan and the HSS Westchester Rehabilitation and Sports Performance Center in White Plains, NY. He graduated from UMass Amherst with a bachelor’s in kinesiology and Texas A&M with a master’s in athletic training. In addition to his education, Aaron is nationally certified as both an athletic trainer and strength and conditioning specialist. Aaron has worked with individuals encompassing a broad range of exercise experience/injury history, and athletes competing from middle school to an Olympic level.
After spending several years in the athletic training room, Aaron brings his experience back to performance with a keen eye for muscle imbalance and biomechanical deficiencies. Using a functional approach, an individual’s movement patterns will be considered and corrected to prevent injury and promote strength. The primary goal in Aaron’s programming is to return an individual to the activities they enjoy most. In conjunction with the HSS team, Aaron is developing injury prevention programming for rowers in addition to playing an important role in the concussion management group.
