Ashley Fluger is an exercise physiologist at both the Hospital for Special Surgery’s Tisch Sports Performance Center as well as the Integrative Care Center. She graduated top in her class from Indiana University with a degree in Kinesiology and also completed the Sport Essentials Certificate Program from Columbia University. Ashley continues to be involved with IU as the representative for the School of Public Health on the university’s alumni board.
Ashley has extensive knowledge in both exercise science and sports performance. She has spent her career working in a variety of clinical and commercial settings working alongside other medical professionals. She has experience with a patient population ranging from athletic development and preventative health, to various disease states and orthopedic conditions. Ashley has been interviewed in multiple magazine and newspaper publications for her expertise, and presents at professional conferences and hospital grand rounds. She is an active volunteer with the New York Road Runners and provides presentations on running related topics in addition to event coverage. She has a passion for helping people make their physical bodies healthier and stronger so they can get back to doing what they love to do every day!
