About Alexis DiClemente

Alexis DiClemente is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist at Hospital for Special Surgery. She attended Drexel University for her graduate and undergraduate degrees, graduating in 2012 with her B.S. in Health Sciences and in 2015 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Alexis started her career working at an outpatient orthopedic facility in New Jersey, and completed an orthopedic residency program in 2017. She presented her residency project, “A patient with a history of breast cancer treated for Axillary Web Syndrome using a multimodal approach,” at the NJ APTA Spring 2019 Conference. She also produced an evidence-based video on common running injuries in children and teens, which was utilized by the international non-profit organization, Girls on the Run, during coach trainings.

Alexis started with HSS in June 2019 and has since been involved with student education and employee engagement. With specific interests in orthopedics and sports medicine, she has bolstered her clinical knowledge with recent continuing education courses on topics including biomechanics, manual therapy, and pain neuroscience. She is passionate about treating patients across the lifespan, can see patients direct access (without a physician referral), and hopes to continue her involvement in HSS education programming. Outside of the clinic, Alexis enjoys reading, spinning, and traveling. She also sits on the Board of Directors for a non-profit organization, Family Lives On.
