About Max Castrogaleas

Max Castrogaleas is an Exercise Physiologist on the Sports Rehabilitation and Performance Team at HSS. He is a former US Marine Corps Sergeant and Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor. After serving two tours as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, he graduated from Queens College with a Bachelor's in Nutrition and Exercise Science and from the Teachers College at Columbia University with a Master’s in Applied Exercise Physiology. Max holds many industry leading certifications. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction as well as a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator with Distinction through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine, and holds several specialized certifications in fitness and athletic performance.

Max has worked with a diverse range of clientele across a variety of ages and skill levels, from post-op rehabilitation to high level sports performance. He has a passion for educating his clients on proper movement and technique to allow them exercise safely both in and outside of his presence. His wide range of experience and knowledge has allowed Max to serve as a mentor and educator to both his clients and teammates in their pursuit of reaching their goals.
