Hunter Carter is an Exercise Physiologist on the Sports Rehabilitation and Performance Team at HSS. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Performance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Teachers College, Columbia University. He is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine and also holds credentials as a certified personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist, USA Track & Field Level 1 Coach, and Functional Movement Systems practitioner.
Hunter has experience conducting metabolic testing, sport-specific fitness and performance assessments, and designing individualized training programs for a wide range of populations. His special interests include movement and gait analysis, along with strength and conditioning for dance, running, and hiking. As a former professional dancer, lifelong mover, and recreational athlete, Hunter is passionate about helping individuals improve performance, build resilience, and remain active across the lifespan.
