Ashley Steinberger is a Sports Dietitian on the Sports Rehabilitation and Performance team at HSS. Services are offered virtually. She holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science with a Minor in Nutrition and Food Systems from the University of South Carolina and a master's degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology from Columbia University. Ashley completed her Dietetic Internship through Columbia University, which included a variety of experiences including Mount Sinai’s Center of Excellence in Eating and Weight Disorders, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), Mount Sinai Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, Columbia University Athletics, along with varied private practice settings, and more. Ashley is a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and an active member of the American Sports and Performance Dietitians (ASPDA).
With over 8 years of experience in the field of sports nutrition, Ashley has developed extensive expertise in performance nutrition and counseling across various settings, including professional sports, collegiate athletics, and private practice sectors. She has experience working with many world class teams and athletes, including the New York Mets, New York Red Bulls, Tampa Bay Rays, University of South Carolina, Princeton University, Columbia University, Team USA Track & Field, Team USA Swimming & Diving and more. Ashley is passionate about helping athletes and active individuals optimize their performance by empowering them to build new habits to support a healthy lifestyle. Her mission is to help individuals of all ages understand nutrition science and apply it to their everyday lives, through individualized, science-backed strategies. When she isn’t working, you can find Ashley enjoying time with family and trying new restaurants in the tri-state area.
