Elizabeth (Lizzy) Short, PA-C

Elizabeth (Lizzy) Short, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant at HSS specializing in sports medicine and general orthopedics. She brings a diverse healthcare background spanning sports medicine, urgent care, and primary care, and has proudly been part of HSS since 2020. 

Lizzy earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, where she was also a collegiate track and cheerleading athlete. In addition to her Physician Assistant and Athletic Trainer certifications, she is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Performance Enhancement Specialist and holds multiple fitness certifications. With nearly 20 years of experience leading group fitness, Lizzy is passionate about integrating her expertise in health, nutrition, and fitness into her care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. She understands firsthand the physical and mental importance of returning to the activities you love after an injury or ailment. 

Outside of work, she is a proud mom of two young, active boys and enjoys crafting family adventures. She also coaches CrossFit and postpartum fitness in her spare time.
