About Abigail Barrett
Abigail Barrett, PA-C is one of the first advanced practice providers in the Department of Rheumatology at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), working alongside Dr. Anca Askanase. She is board certified through the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed in New York and New Jersey.
Ms. Barrett has called New York City home for nearly a decade. She earned her undergraduate degree at Fordham University before working as a patient care assistant at HSS, then returned to Weill Cornell Medicine for her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies — which included clinical rotations in rheumatology and orthopedics at HSS. She joined the rheumatology practice full-time following graduation.
