Study Demonstrates OMERACT RA Flare Questions are Reliable for Flare Identification

Healio Rheumatology published findings from a recent study authored by Vivian P. Bykerk, BSc, MD, FRCPC, a rheumatologist at Hospital for Special Surgery. The study indicates that, "The Outcomes Measures in Rheumatology Clinical Trials rheumatoid arthritis (RA) flare questions were able to differentiate between patients with flares and patients without flares, demonstrating strong evidence for construct and consequential validity."

According to the article, "there was low-strong agreement in flare status which was inversely associated with RA disease activity level."
