Everyday Health reports on seven habits that are bad for your joints, especially if you are living with rheumatoid arthritis. The article suggests that you can worsen your joint health by taking part in certain everyday behaviors, like ignoring pain, texting too much, staying sedentary, overdoing exercise, being consumed by stress, smoking, and not staying with a treatment plan.
For instances in regards to ignoring pain, "Pain may be a sign that your RA isn't being managed well, or it may be an indication of joint damage," said Susan M. Goodman, MD, a rheumatologist at Hospital for Special Surgery. The article states that ignoring pain in general is a bad idea.
