Quincy Pondexter Hopeful Second Surgery Will Provide 'Permanent fix' to Injury Woes

ESPN—March 19, 2016

ESPN staff writer Justin Verrier reports on New Orleans Pelicans' shooting guard Quincy Pondexter and his recent cartilage replacement procedure on his left knee. Pondexter initially underwent an arthroscopic knee surgery last May.

The article includes a quote from Pondexter about his experience with Riley J. Williams, III, MD, a sports medicine surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery: "Going through that and this new one, this new technique that we used instantly kind of fixed the situation, but you have so much more things to deal with, like scar tissue and fixing other parts of your body. I love Dr. [Riley] Williams and the great job that they did with this last surgery."
