Outside Magazine featured an article on the best foods for workout fuel and exercise recovery for athletes.

Jason Machowsky, RD, CSSD, RCEP, CSCS, sports dietician and sports performance specialist at HSS, said sardines are a great option. "Sardines are packed with protein, Omega-3 fatty acids, calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin B12, making them great ways to help build muscle and maintain strong bones," he said.

He also recommended chocolate milk as a "post-training recovery drink".
