Social Circuit Crisis: With the Waldorf Closed, Where to Hold That Gala?

Meredith Forbes, senior director, Special Events spoke to the New York Times on the effect of the Waldorf Astoria closing for special events. 

Since the Waldorf Astoria closed, event planners try to locate large enough spaces for events. "We typically go over a thousand people," said Forbes. "We like to make it so our physicians and surgeons can be home at a reasonable hour."
