Mets’ Steven Matz and Anthony Kay each have elbow surgery on Tuesday

Newsday's New York Mets beat writer Marc Carig reports that Mets LHP Steven Matz underwent elbow surgery on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

According to Carig, Matz had a bone spur removed from his left elbow during an arthroscopic procedure at HSS.
