Dangers and warning signs of exercise addiction

Fox NY—April 20, 2015

Fox New York reports that for some people exercise becomes an addiction.

Dr. Jordan Metzl, a sports medicine physician at Hospital for Special Surgery, says he often sees people who have some component of exercise addiction. He says he talks to them about how to make exercise healthy for them. He says exercise addiction can be both physical and mental. Exercise addiction manifests itself in many ways, including frequent injuries, too much weight loss, and the decline of general health.
